Deadwood Days Of ‘76 Rodeo – Deadwood
Held in late July, Deadwood Days of ‘76 Rodeo has won the distinction of PRCA Midsize Rodeo of the Year in every year since 2004! Running for four days, you can enjoy events like steer roping, bull riding, parades, and much more.
Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup – Custer State Park
Generally held in late September, the Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup features cowgirls and cowboys rounding up the massive herds of buffalo in Custer State Park, so that they can be counted and their health can be assessed.
Besides the main event of thousands of buffaloes being herded, you can shop from over 150 different vendors, enjoy delicious South Dakota cuisine, and visit museums like the Peter Norbeck Outdoor Education Center!
Deadwood Oktoberfest – Deadwood
Deadwood has one of the best Oktoberfest events around! Typically held on the first weekend of October, you’ll enjoy free German fare like schnitzel, plenty of beer, and fun, festive events like Weiner Dog Races and the ever-popular Beer Barrel Games!
Winterfest – Lead
If you love snowsports like skiing and snowboarding, don’t miss out on Winterfest. Usually held during the last weekend of January, Winterfest has something for everyone!
