What started in 1935, young Earl Brockelsby discovered people’s interest in snakes. As a tour guide in Rapid City, he would often reveal a live rattlesnake coiled on top of his head. In 1937, combined with Earl’s thrilling snake under his hat show and his entrepreneurial spirit, he formed Reptile Gardens.
May 11th marks what would have been 100th birthday of Earl, in celebration, Reptile Gardens is releasing “Rattle Snake Under His Hat” on the epic tale of Earl.
Visit Reptile Gardens to get your thrilling copy and tour the scaly, slimy, creepy and crawly reptiles, amphibians, bugs to feathery, furry creature and critters. If you’re lucky, you may find one of us holding a snake or running from a crocodile.
